Historical Background: 1st May 1945, Hitler was dead the day before. General Weindling, commander of the Berlin defense, had ordered to cease fire at 11 PM. But SS General Krukenberg ordered to the remnants of division Nordland to gather near the Weidendammenbrücke to made a breakthrough out of Berlin. The SS Kampfgruppe was composed of one Tiger II, some Sturmgeschutz, the Half-tracks of the Nordland recce company and all infantrymen available. Some groups of French SS of the division Charlemagne had joined too the Kampfgruppe who advanced and fought on Brennen Strasse. But once arrived to the crossroad with Lortzing Strasse, the Soviet fire intensified and blocked the armored column. The breakthrough was at that time impossible so the SS scattered in the morning. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history.
Briefing: Axis player [Germany] : 5 command cards, you move first. Allied player [Soviet Union] : 5 command cards.
Conditions of Victory: 7 medals. For the Axis player, use the "Exit" token rules (Action 23) to the road hexagon near the Flakturm.
Special Rules: - Use "Specialized Units" rules (Troops 2) to all infantry units with Elite badges. - Use "Tiger" rules (Troops 16) to the Axis armored unit with a single figure. - Use "Half-Track" (Troops 18) and "Re-supply" rules (Actions 24) for the two Axis units with badge HT. - Special Weapon Asset rules (SWAs 4) are in effect for Soviet units equipped with anti-tank guns and mortars (SWAs 5 and 6). - Use "Night Attacks" rules (Actions 19). - Use "Air Power" card as "Barrage" card.
