Historical Background: Operation Thursday on early March 1944, Chindits of General Wingate, as "Special Force", were air landed in the Indaw area, north of Burma. They made several bases in order to cut Japanese communications roads. The 77th Brigade under the command of Brigadier Calvert made on the 17th of March a new strong-point called "White City" cutting the road and railway at Mawlu. From the 7th of April, this strong-point was constantly attacked by Japanese troops, unsuccessfully. The most important attack occurred on the 15th of April by the 24th Japanese Independent Mixed Brigade who lost around 150 KIAs. The battle continued on the 17th of April and the Japanese lost again 200 KIAs, before to abandon definitively to attack this strong-point. For the British troops, White City was the Tobruk of Burma. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory: 8 medals. The HQ of White City is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.
