Ticket to Ride Stay at Home is a free print & play expansion for Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride Europe, Ticket to Ride Germany or Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries.

In this very special version, you will take the role of one of the four family members who compete and sometimes collaborate to complete their daily tasks in their home. Will you first try to go from your bedroom to your desk for some paperwork, or would you rather do a detour by the fridge and spend some time on the balcony?

Designed during the great lockdown of 2020, Ticket to Ride Stay at Home is a fun, quick and beautiful new version of the classic Ticket to Ride which will guarantee some amazing family moments around the gaming table. So hurry up! Grab a pair of scissors, some adhesive tape and your copy of Ticket to Ridebase game, and enjoy Ticket to Ride Stay at Home.

Inside the Box

Except that there is no box

This game is an expansion and requires that you use the following game parts from one of the previous versions of Ticket to Ride:

  • A reserve of 32 Trains Cars per player (instead of the usual 45) and matching Scoring Markers taken from one of the following: Ticket to Ride / Ticket to Ride Europe / Ticket to Ride Germany / Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries
  • The deck of Train Car cards taken from one of the games above or the USA 1910expansion
  • You will also need to print, cut and assemble the Board and the Tickets that you can download below: English : US letter / A4

How To?

To play Ticket to Ride Stay at Home, you will first need to print the PDF file.

Then use some adhesive tape to assemble the gaming board (4 pages).

Finally cut the Tickets cards with a pair of scissors or a cutter & rulers (use the black cutting marks as guides). We recommend that you then sleeve the Tickets cards (or that you print them on thicker kind of bristol paper). The last page of the document is for the back of the cards. You actually do not need them unless you are able to print both side of the Tickets.

You’re stuck at home! Yeah, so am I and so is everyone at Days Of Wonder. But no worries, we’d like to give you something to help pass the time and bring a little joy into your home. From our homes to yours, we hope STAY AT HOME is just the ticket.

Each player takes on the role of Dad, Mom, Sis, or Baby Brother. You can decide amongst yourselves how to assign these roles. Each role comes with a special set of tickets. At start, you get some of these special tickets and some of the regular tickets. Then you choose your starting tickets.

Because it’s a house, there are family routes as well as regular routes. It will usually take several players to claim family routes. Everyone who helps can use the family route to complete their tickets.
